If your drawer is stuck like a bad memory, it's time for a fix. First up, let's diagnose the problem. Try sliding the drawer out. If it's stuck, check if the hinges or rails are misaligned or broken. Next, empty the drawer. Carefully remove it from the cabinet—you might need to lift it to disengage the rails.

Now, look at the hinges and rails. If they're bent, broken, or rusty, it's time for replacements. Head to your local hardware store and grab new hinges or rails. Got them? Great! Install the new hardware by screwing the hinges to the drawer and the rails to the cabinet. Make sure everything is aligned properly.

Slide your drawer back in and test it out. Smooth as butter, right? Congrats, you fixed your drawer! Now you can get back to more important things, like organizing your snacks. Thanks for watching, and happy fixing!

  • Getting Rid Of Unwanted Items & Furniture?

    watch video
    text answer

Is your hallway starting to look like an obstacle course filled with discarded treasures? Well, fear not—we've got the trash talk you need to hear. First things first, let's talk trash, and not the gossip kind. If you spot unwanted furniture or piles of old items around your property, it's important to act fast. Check with your building's management or local waste disposal services for bulk item pickup dates. Most areas have specific days when you can put out larger items without turning your curb into an impromptu flea market.

Next, consider recycling or donating. Many organizations love to refurbish old furniture and give it a new life. It's a win-win: you declutter, and someone else gets to enjoy your pre-loved items. Websites like Freecycle or local community boards can also be great resources for finding new homes for old treasures.

And hey, if you're feeling creative, why not try upcycling? That old dresser could be your next DIY project. Just remember, keeping our space clean and tidy isn't just about aesthetics—it's about respect for our community and environment. So, let's keep it neat together.

  • Leak In Your Home?

    watch video
    text answer

This is going to blow your mind, but did you know you can save your apartment from flooding in just a minute? Let's get to it. First, don't panic. Locate your apartment's main water valve. It's usually under the kitchen sink, in the bathroom, or sometimes in a utility closet. Look for a valve that's either a wheel or a lever.

If it's a wheel, turn it clockwise until it stops. This can take a bit of muscle, so be ready to give it a good twist. If it’s lever-style, just flip it 90° to the cross position. That's it, you just averted a potential disaster!

Remember, it’s always good to know where this valve is before an emergency strikes. So take a moment, find it now, and you’ll be the hero next time water tries to make a surprise visit.

  • Yard Maintenance Made Easy!

    watch video
    text answer

Why do 90% of renters ignore their yard? Maybe it's because they think it's too complicated or time-consuming. Let's bust that myth today. First up, let's talk mowing. Keeping your grass trimmed not only makes your yard look tidy but also keeps pests away. Grab that mower, set it to a medium height, and go for even, overlapping passes. Remember, cutting it too short can stress the grass, so keep it cool and just trim the tips.

Next, a quick win: edging. This is like giving your yard a neat haircut along the driveway and sidewalks. A simple manual edger does the trick and it's a great way to make things look sharp with minimal effort. Don't forget about those leaves. A light rake every few weeks keeps your yard looking clean and prevents any rot from setting in on your grass—plus, it's a good workout.

Lastly, water wisely. Early morning or late evening are the best times to water because less water evaporates and your plants get the most benefit. Just a couple of times a week should do, unless it's really hot.

See, maintaining your yard isn't just doable, it's easy, and think about the satisfaction of looking out your window onto a well-kept lawn. Now, go make your outdoor space a place you're proud of.

    text answer

This is why you need a quick bulb change guide. Imagine you're all set for a cozy movie night and poof—your light bulb decides its showtime is over. Let’s get that changed fast. First things first: safety is key. Make sure your light switch is turned off. Feeling around in the dark? Keep a flashlight handy, or use your phone's light to see what you're doing.

Next, grab a stool or a step ladder. Make sure it's sturdy—we're changing a bulb, not filming an episode of "Stunt Masters." Now, gently unscrew the old bulb. Turn it counterclockwise—lefty Lucy, remember? Got your new bulb ready? Great. Screw it in clockwise—righty tighty. And voila, you've just changed your bulb! Flip the switch and let there be light.

See, not so hard, right? You've conquered the bulb, and you didn't even need a toolbox. Just a little twist here, a little switch there, and you're back to binging your favorite series. Or hey, maybe even fixing something else that's been on your to-do list.

Make sure it has a flange on the bottom; that's the part that looks a bit like an extra lip! It's perfect for toilets. Now, gently place the plunger into the toilet bowl, letting it fill with water—this seals the deal. Next, push down firmly but gently. You're not angry at it; just encouraging things to move along. • How to Get Rid of Stinkbugs (or Shield Bugs)?

    watch video
    text answer

Hey everyone, Prop M here. Have you ever had uninvited guests who just won't leave? I'm talking about stink bugs, the little critters that sneak into your home seeking warmth as the winter months roll in. Today, I'm going to show you how to keep these pesky bugs out of your living space. Let's dive right in. So, what exactly are stink bugs? Well, they're these small, shield-shaped insects that can wreak havoc on your plants and peace of mind. And as their name suggests, they really stink when threatened or squished—not something you want to deal with inside your house, right? As the weather cools, these bugs search for warm hideouts, which unfortunately means our homes. But fear not, with a few simple steps, you can keep them at bay. The most effective way to stink-proof your home is by sealing it up tight.

Grab some caulk and make a thorough inspection around your house. Focus on any cracks and crevices around windows, doors, and the foundation. Sealing these can not only keep stink bugs out but also improve your home's heat retention. It's a win-win. Here's a quick DIY trick you can try: mix some neem oil or soap and water, and spray it around the areas where these bugs congregate. It's a safe and natural deterrent that won't harm your family or pets. And remember, while it's tempting to just squash these invaders, doing so will only release their notorious odor and potentially attract more bugs. If the invasion is too much to handle alone, don't hesitate to call PropM. Submit a maintenance request or email maintenance@propmhomes.com. We may need to call in an expert who can offer a more permanent solution and save you from the frustration of recurring bugs!

If you Rent a home, you get built in concierge service, just call your property manager or owner, they might take care of it.. You Own a home, and good luck, you are on your own.

You Rent a home:

You rent a $1,800 home or apartment and something goes wrong, whether you have spiders, your garbage disposal is not working, or your hot water heater quit working, door lock broken, no problem right, call your property manager and they will handle it. You immediately get full concierge service as a tenant for your property being you are a renter.

Now lets say you Own a home:

You own a home or just bought a home, whether you bought a $500,000 home or a $2.5M home, same scenario above occurs, now what? You are on your own, time to start googling and sorting through the endless list of vendors, reviews, handymen, plumbers, electricians, etc. This is where we come in.

Our program allows you to have the confidence to get top notch vendor support with one phone call, email,or text 24/7, 365. We verify fair market cost for you so you never pay too much and don't have to worry about being gouged or taken advantage of.

  2. Once we have the signed contract, you will be set up in our system as a client and can call anytime 503.395.7055, 24/7.
